[3] Trama [ modifica, modifica wikitesto] All'inizio degli anni '80, la Sicilia è capitale mondiale del traffico di droga, divisa tra famiglie di Cosa Nostra palermitane e corleonesi (di cui è leader Totò Riina) che lottano fra loro pur mantenendo una facciata di amicizia. Durante una festa a casa di Stefano Bontate tra boss di entrambi gli schieramenti, Tommaso Buscetta, un boss affiliato alla mafia di Palermo, avverte il pericolo di una faida imminente e decide di emigrare in Brasile per seguire i suoi affari al sicuro. Le tensioni non tardano a manifestarsi e si scatena una serie di omicidi a boss mafiosi e familiari; i due figli di Buscetta e suo fratello, rimasti in Sicilia, vengono fatti sparire, e lui stesso si sente braccato in America Latina. Inoltre, la polizia brasiliana lo identifica e lo cattura, sottoponendolo a numerose torture fisiche e psicologiche, successivamente viene chiesta l' estradizione in Italia che Buscetta in un primo momento evita ingerendo della stricnina. Ormai rimasto senza potere né denaro, Buscetta viene salvato e rimpatriato in Italia, finendo quindi nel mirino dei rivali corleonesi. Il giudice Giovanni Falcone gli offre un'alternativa: collaborare con la giustizia, che per il codice d'onore mafioso equivale a un tradimento punibile con la morte. In una serie di interrogatori, Buscetta rivela al giudice nomi, organizzazione e rituali di Cosa Nostra, diventando così il primo collaboratore di giustizia della storia, benché abbia sempre rifiutato di definirsi un pentito; anche il suo vecchio compagno Totuccio Contorno inizierà a collaborare con la giustizia. Grazie alle deposizioni di Buscetta e Contorno la polizia riesce a eseguire centinaia di blitz ed arresti che destabilizzano Cosa Nostra: nel 1986 ha inizio il maxiprocesso nell'aula-bunker di Palermo, del quale Buscetta è testimone chiave. Il processo va avanti tra il totale diniego degli imputati e la loro ipocrita pretesa di innocenza; molti chiedono un confronto diretto con Buscetta, ma tutti desistono dopo quello con Giuseppe Calò, suo amico di infanzia, che nega di conoscerlo. I mafiosi vengono condannati e giurano vendetta su Buscetta, che viene posto sotto protezione negli Stati Uniti d'America, dove tuttavia continua a sentirsi braccato e spesso è costretto a cambiare città. In Italia, intanto, molti suoi parenti incensurati vengono uccisi per ritorsione: una sua sorella, rimasta vedova, lo rinnegherà come fratello. Nel maggio del 1992 il giudice Falcone viene assassinato in un brutale attentato; Buscetta decide di tornare in Italia -in suo onore- come testimone chiave del processo del secolo. Qui, tuttavia, viene messo in difficoltà dall'avvocato di Giulio Andreotti, che mette in luce le sue contraddizioni e la sua morale dubbia. Intanto viene arrestato Totò Riina, e nel corso del processo a suo carico, Buscetta apprende che i suoi figli sono stati uccisi mediante strangolamento dai vecchi amici Giuseppe Calò e Salvatore Cancemi, reo confesso. Buscetta si sente in colpa per aver abbandonato i suoi figli anziché portarli con sé in Brasile. Buscetta vive i suoi ultimi anni sotto copertura negli Stati Uniti, dove muore nel 2000, circondato dall'affetto dei figli avuti dalla sua ultima moglie. As I was a bit dissapointed from Bellocchio's latest works I didn't expect to see a great movie, but in the end I was amazed both from the direction and the plot line. Some scenes of the movie are a real masterpiece and although it lasts 2,5 hours you don't get tired or bored.
Outstanding acting by Pierfrancesco Favino, he's perfect on his role.

Come ha previsto, dopo la sua partenza iniziano le tensioni e cadono le prime vittime della faida, tra cui due dei suoi figli e suo fratello. Ma Buscetta viene catturato e torturato dalla polizia brasiliana. Il mafioso capisce che sta andando incontro a morte certa quando viene concordata la sua estradizione in Italia. Inaspettatamente, il giudice Giovanni Falcone ( Fausto Russo Alesi) gli offre una via d'uscita: collaborare con le forze dell'ordine e la magistratura, godendo della protezione dello Stato. Buscetta, che da tempo non si riconosce più nelle azioni violente e senza scrupoli di Cosa Nostra e legato ad un'idea di mafia che protegge la povera gente, decide di accettare, anche per vendicarsi delle rappresaglie e delle persecuzioni a danno suo e della sua famiglia. As one of ARSs founding members and main songwriters Dean was truly instrumental to the bands success. His touch is obvious listening to any ARS record. His talents shine when you hear ‘So Into You, Imaginary Lover and any number of the great songs he was essential in penning. ‘Dog Days, ‘Normal Love, there are so many incredible ARS songs founded upon the incredible piano playing that Dean brought to the group. As the band approaches its 50th anniversary, we are truly disheartened that we will not have our ‘Old Buddy on the road with us. Dean is the longest riding member of Atlanta Rhythm Section having literally been on the road continuously for well over forty years. We will begin a mini tour of Texas just outside 'The Big D' at the historic Arlington Music Hall which premiered as a movie theatre in 1950. The first movie to be shown featured Shirley Temple and was followed by a memorable on stage performance by a local band The Flying Ranch Hands who later became known as The Light Crust Dough Boys. We continue to The Big Barn at Dosey Doe just outside Houston in The Woodlands. Not only is the coffee incredible but the food, the staff and the venue itself really stand out. If you like wood, youve got to check out this amazing place that features massive amounts of reclaimed timbers. Dosey Doe has won numerous awards including “Best Live Music Venue” and “Best Breakfast in The Woodlands”. The heart of One World began beating when its founder, percussionist, Hartt Stearns, attended a seminar at UCLA by Brazilian musician, Mayuto Correa, with whom Hartt would study. This enlightening experience inspired a journey to create and share One World through artistic exchange and experience. Hartt would spend many years traveling and performing music. Eventually, his journey would lead to Austin where he would find Nada. The two eventually marry and together find One World Theatre. A rhythm section (also called a backup band) is a group of musicians within a music ensemble or band that provides the underlying rhythm, harmony and pulse of the accompaniment, providing a rhythmic and harmonic reference and "beat" for the rest of the band. The rhythm section is often contrasted with the roles of other musicians in the band, such as the lead guitarist or lead vocals whose primary job is to carry the melody. The core elements of the rhythm section are usually percussion instruments, especially the drum kit. The drums and bass provide the basic pulse and groove of a song. Even when a venue or festival provides a backline amplification, musicians must still supply some instruments themselves, such as guitars, an electric bass, and, in some cases, the cymbals and/or the snare drum. The venue informs musicians about which instruments are supplied as the backline for a specific concert or stage and in many cases, the contract signed by the band and the venue/promoter contains an explicit list of the backline gear that will be on stage, even specifying brand names and model numbers. Roles [ edit] In modern rock music, a rhythm guitarist specializes in rhythmic and chordal playing (as opposed to the melodic guitar solos and lead melody lines played by the lead guitar) often repeating quaver (eighth-note) half note or whole note chords. In the louder genres, such as hard rock, heavy metal and punk rock, rhythm guitarists often play power chords with distortion. Rhythm guitarists often strum open chords in pop, rock, country and folk music and play barre chords in many pop and rock styles. Although rhythm sections spend much of the time providing accompaniment (backing parts) for songs, in some cases, they provide other musical roles. In some songs or styles of music, instruments from the rhythm section may play soloistic roles on occasion (e. g., improvised guitar solos or solo breaks) or play a melodic role (e. g., a rhythm guitarist may play a lyrical countermelody behind a singer or a melodic intro line before the lead vocalist starts to sing. Since rhythm sections generally provide the background music for lead instruments and solo singers, rhythm sections are typically not as prominent as a singer or soloist. However, since rhythm sections provide the underpinning for a good performance by the lead instruments and vocalists, good rhythm sections are valued in the music industry. Some of the most accomplished rhythm sections have become famous, such as The Band, the E Street Band and Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare (the latter in reggae. In some popular bands, all of the band members, including rhythm section members, have become famous as individuals (e. g., the rhythm section members of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, etc. In almost all genres of popular music and traditional music that use rhythm sections, ranging from rock to country to jazz, the rhythm section members are expected to be able to improvise (make up) their parts or prepare their own parts for a given song by listening to the CD at home. Once the bassist and chord-playing instruments are provided with the chord progression on a lead sheet (in which chords are typically named using the root note of the chord and its quality; e. g., C Major, d minor, G7, etc. they are expected to be able to improvise or prepare a bass line and chord voicings, respectively, that suit the style of the song. In each style of music, there are different musical approaches and styles that rhythm section members are expected to use. For example, in a country music song, the guitarist will be expected to be able to perform a chord progression using an intricate fingerpicking style; in a heavy metal song, the guitarist will be expected to play power chords and complex, precise rhythmic patterns; in a jazz song, a guitarist will be expected to be able to play "jazz voicings" of the chords, which emphasize the third, seventh and often the sixth or ninth chord tones (this contrasts with the barre chord voicings used in pop and rock, which emphasize the root, fifth, and to a lesser degree, the third of the chord. Drummers and percussionists are expected to be able to improvise or prepare rhythm parts that suit the style of a given song. In some cases, an arranger, orchestrator or composer will provide a written-out bass part or drum part written in music notation (the five-line staff in which the notes are round symbols with or without stems. It is rare in jazz or rock for chords to be written out in music notation; the arranger or songwriter typically writes the chord symbol and expects the guitarist to improvise the appropriate chord voicing. Other roles [ edit] Rhythm section members may be expected to sing backup vocals or harmony parts in some styles of music. In some styles of music, notably 2010s-era pop, hip hop music and funk, rhythm section members may be required to perform a rhythmic dance routine, which may range from a simple body movement to a complex dance choreography that requires significant dance skills. In the case of swing bands, the classic rhythm section comprises a quartet of electric guitar, piano, double bass, and drums; a noted example is that of the Count Basie Orchestra with Freddie Green, the Count, Walter Page, and Jo Jones. Earlier jazz bands had used banjo in place of guitar, and other bass instruments such as the tuba for recording purposes prior to the advent of microphone technology in studios. As bebop evolved, smaller jazz groups dropped the guitar, and many free jazz ensembles dropped the piano as well. Auxiliary percussion such as claves, bongos or maracas can also be used, especially in music influenced by strains from Latin America such as salsa and samba. In theory any instrument or instruments can provide a steady rhythm: for example, in the trio led by Jimmy Giuffre the late 1950s, the clarinet, valve trombone and guitar all switched between lead and supporting roles. In the 1950s, some jazz bandleaders began to replace the double bass with the then-newly invented electric bass. However, the electric bass really made a big impact on jazz in the 1970s, with the advent of jazz rock and jazz fusion. The electric bass was much easier to amplify to stadium-filling volumes using large bass speaker cabinets and amplifiers than an upright bass. The electric bass also began to be used as an expressive solo instrument, as exemplified by the performances of Jaco Pastorius and Stanley Clarke. In the 1970s, the main chordal rhythm instruments were often electric instruments such as the Rhodes electric piano or electric clavinet, often run through effects units such as fuzz, phasers, or wah-wah pedals and amplified through loud keyboard amplifiers. The jazz fusion rhythm section followed the lead of the rock rhythm sections of the era, and used banks of speakers and powerful amplifiers to create a massive sound large enough for stadium concerts. In the later 1980s and subsequent decades, jazz fusion bands such as the Chick Corea Elektric Band used synthesizers in the rhythm section, both for chordal accompaniment and for synth bass parts. R&B, rock and pop [ edit] This Polish group's rhythm section consists of a Hammond organist, an electric bassist, and a drummer. R&B and rock and roll groups in the 1950s emphasized rhythm, so their backup bands generally consisted only of the standard swing band rhythm section of guitar, piano, bass, and drums supporting a vocalist, and in some cases omitting the keyboards. The bass guitar took over from the double bass in the 1950s, and had almost completely taken over the bass role in the 1960s. As the 1960s progressed the term "rhythm section" as used in a pop music context sometimes came to refer to just the bass and drums. For example, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr of the Beatles were referred to as the band's rhythm section. In the 1970s, chordal instruments such as the electric and/or acoustic guitar and various keyboards (piano, electric piano, Hammond organ, clavinet) continued to be used to augment the bass and drums in soul, funk, and reggae groups. The sound of late 1960s and 1970s rhythm sections was often given a unique tone and sound due to the use of effects units. Funk bass players would play through auto-wah or envelope follower pedals. Reggae guitarists would plug into echo pedals. Rock guitarists would run their electric guitars through distortion and wah pedals. Electric piano or clavinet players also used effects. In the 1980s, many rock and pop bands continued to be based around the basic rock rhythm section established by 1960s and 1970s bands: electric bass, drums, and electric guitar or keyboards. In the 1980s, the first widely-affordable digital synthesizer, Yamaha 's DX7, was released. The distinctive FM synthesis tone of the DX7 is a key part of the sound of many 1980s pop and dance singles. As electronic effects became more sophisticated, with the development of digital signal processing, during the 1980s, there was some crossover between the roles played by electronic keyboards and electric guitar. Even though electronic keyboards or organs were the standard instruments used to create sustained "pads" of sound (e. g., held backing chords) for ballads, with the introduction of digital delay pedals and other modern effects, electric guitars could produce similar "pads" or " walls of sound. The Edge, the guitarist from the rock band U2, often used digital delay and reverb-drenched electric guitar arpeggios (chords played one note after the other) to create a shimmering, sustained "pad" for the group. These arpeggio pads created a sustained sound that was similar to the sound of an electronic keyboard. By the late 1980s, the price of digital effects pedals dropped, making these effects units available to the general public. During the 1980s era, rhythm sections in some styles of pop took an increasing turn towards electronic instruments. A 1980s-era dance pop band might be backed up by a rhythm section of a synth bass, electronic drums (or drum machine) and various synthesizer keyboards. In some 1980s and 1990s bands, live human rhythm sections were sometimes replaced by sequenced MIDI synthesizer rhythm tracks made in the studio. In jazz, the drummer may "trade" short solo sections with a saxophone player or trumpet player; this practice, nicknamed "trading fours" typically involves the drummer and the horn player alternating four bar solo sections during a jazz tune. They can also trade eights, twos, ones, or other numbers depending on the musical context. Variants [ edit] Organ trios [ edit] In organ trios, the lower octaves of a Hammond organ or electronic keyboard are used as a substitute for bass guitar or double bass. The organist can play the bassline using the bass pedal keyboard or using the lower manual. As well, the organist could play right-hand chords and melodies. Organ trios were a widely used type of jazz ensemble in the 1950s and 1960s to play hard bop. Organ trios are sometimes used in rock as well. The Doors ' keyboardist Ray Manzarek used a keyboard bass to play the bass lines. Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore would act as an organ trio with the addition of singer Jim Morrison. Dixieland bands [ edit] Dixieland band rhythm sections sometimes use a tuba for the bassline. New Orleans or Dixieland jazz bands occasionally use tuba, sousaphone, or bass saxophone in place of the double bass that was common in 1920s-era jazz bands. Marching bands use a mixture of brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments, because all of these instruments can be played while marching. Other variants [ edit] Not all rhythm sections follow the standard model of drummer-bassist-chordal instrument. Some bands have no drummer. General Hux saves Poe, Finn, and Chewbacca from execution, revealing himself as the spy. He permits the group to escape on the Falcon, but is discovered and executed. October 19th, 2019 was the last day I relapsed. I swore to myself that I would never relapse again. Im surprised Ive made it this far. My previous record was 14 days; these 90 days make 14 days look like nothing. I created this account as soon as I hit Day 30 –November 18th, 2019 – with the sole purpose of documenting my journey and struggles. Day 60 was on December 18th, 2019. I started masturbating at the age of 11; I was in Grade 7. It quickly developed into a problem. I could not continue my day if I didnt masturbate. I started with childish things Google Images, Instagram, etc. I didnt delve into porn until I was toward the end of Grade 8. It was downhill from there. I started watching vanilla sex; at first, it was disgusting. Eventually, I convinced myself what I was doing was normal. This continued till grade 9. Then one day, while spending hours and hours searching through some websites, I found anal pornography. Ill spare you all the details, but for years I grew accustomed to that particular type of pornography. What would I do when I was bored? Open my computer and spend hours aimlessly searching for videos, just looking for the next “best” thing. I created this idea of what “sex” was in my head. I remember spending hours sometimes only in my room, door locked, headphones plugged in, and just watching that filth. I had convinced myself that what I was doing was normal. I created so many different accounts on websites – sites with only anal pornography. I created accounts on Reddit and Instagram for the sole purpose of saving, uploading, and sharing videos and photos. Fast forward to grades 10 and 11, and this addiction spiraled out of control. It had become even worse. Id come home from school, and the first thing Id do was open my phone – where I had hundreds of videos saved – and being watching and masturbating. I remember on multiple occasions where if I werent getting aroused by one video, Id open multiple videos on two monitors, and Id begin masturbating to that filth. It should be said that throughout the years I tried on and off to stop my addiction, but I had convinced myself that what I was doing was normal (It was also around this time I began to suffer from PIED, but as I continued to find the next “best thing” which sort of delayed the effects of the PIED. Then around May 2019, I made the abrupt decision to stop. I did no planning, no research about NoFap, I just woke up, and something clicked in me (Mainly since I had two months of exams coming up. I opened my phone and hesitantly deleted several apps that were filled with pornography. I opened Reddit, and Instagram deleted my throwaway accounts. Then plugged in my hard disk into my computer and removed hundreds of GB of anal pornography. I moved to the downloads folder and cleared everything. Dropbox, Google Drive, all cleared. Just writing about this now disgusts me. The first week was easy; I was preoccupied with studying for my exams. Then the stress kicked in. I relapsed on my 14th day. I felt like trash. I was demotivated, tired, and stressed. But given this, I put one foot in front of the other and started again. It was around this time that I discovered NoFap. I began watching videos of other peoples experiences and tips. I had yet to create a Reddit account to join r/NoFap. Like many of you suffering from a porn and masturbation addiction, I relapsed a countless number of times. It got to the point where I went on a “relapse streak” for almost two weeks (During this period, I reinstalled all my previously deleted apps and reactivated all my accounts. Why might you be asking? My reasoning was: What if I missed out on my favorite anal pornography content? What if my favorite anal pornography content creator was producing new clips and scenes? What if I miss on a actresss scenes. I still did not give up, I started NoFap again. I deleted all those filthy applications, yet again. Fast forward early September. Im feeling great, motivated, and productive. I was still a little stressed out because I had an exam next month. I was sitting at my desk studying, with my laptop and books in front of me. Some old scenes played back in my head, and without hesitation, I launched a new tab on my laptop, pushed all my books aside, and began watching and masturbating. When I relapsed, it was unbelievable; it was euphoric. I was in a dream-like state. Then I realized what I had done, and an overwhelming feeling of guilt and shame flooded my body. I relapsed, again, on my 14th day, all for what? A few seconds of meaningless “pleasure”? Life continues, and I relapsed again on October 19th, 2019. After a 7-day streak. I swore to myself, “that was the last goddamn time Id ever relapse. ” Im happy to report that was the last time I ever relapsed, and here I am, writing my success story. It was a long and challenging journey. I suffered from flashbacks of old scenes I used to spend hours watching. I was demotivated, sluggish, and just unproductive. My mood was continually fluctuating. Some days Id be the nicest guy on the planet and others I was the devil, fueled by anger. There is this once specific time Ill never forget. I was sitting in class taking notes, and out of nowhere, I received this massive headache from a flashback. But I persisted. During this period, I did “edge” for about 2 weeks, but I have since then stopped. Benefits: More Motivation: I am very motivated almost every day. The motivation does take time to kick in, and it depends on the individual. Ive seen people do one week of NoFap and feel a surge of motivation. While others, myself included, take a lot more time. For me, I experienced substantial motivation surges at every milestone (20 Days, 30 Days, 60 Days, and 90 Days. I began to feel consistently motivated after Day 60. More Productive: This relates to the previous point: the more motivated you are, therefore, the more productive youll be. Ive started reading books a lot more, which Ill talk about later on. More Confident: I can maintain eye contact with other people much longer. Ive got a firmer handshake and a more deep-seated, clearer voice. Ive made myself more approachable. Happiness: I am a much happier person. I used to stay at home and avoid all social contact, which, as a result, destroyed my social life. I now enjoy the little things in life like walks in the park – which might sound stupid. Going to the gym and hanging out with friends, simple things are much more enjoyable. Increased Concentration: I more able to concentrate on a specific task while studying, which helps me get done with things more quickly. Increased Sensitivity: Yeah, you read this correctly. As a result of my continued pornography and masturbation abuse, I, like many of you, suffer from PIED. The science is complicated, but essentially you desensitize your penis as a result of friction and damage blood vessels and nerves. But for young people reading this, there is hope. Ive noticed recently that Ive started experiencing “partial erections” (40% 70% Hardness) and an increase in sensitivity in my penis. Ive also noticed that I can maintain these “partial erections” for long periods. It should be noted that I am a virgin. Girth: This could be my brain playing tricks on me, but as mentioned in the previous point, Ive started experiencing “partial erections. ” When and if I do experience them, Ive come to notice that my penis girth has seemingly increased not by a substantial amount, but large enough to be noticed by me. Again, this could be because my brain is playing tricks on me because the last time I experience a “full erection” was on October 19th, 2019, my last relapse. Seeing this motivates me even more. Muscle Growth: Ive fixed my diet and have been going to the gym regularly. I am seeing significant muscle growth and fat loss. Clearer Skin: My face used to be covered in acne but has cleared up ever since I started NoFap. I do not believe NoFap is not responsible for clearing my acne, but it helped alongside a clean diet, drinking lots of water, and the daily use of face wash. Tips: Identify what causes you to relapse and remove it from your life: For me, it was my phone and computer. All it would take was to get bored and to open a private window and start searching for my “favorite” porn. Or I would connect my hard disk and start watching videos. Id even open Instagram/Reddit and have a selection of videos that I saved ready for viewing. I call this the “trigger. ” So, I insist that you identify what causes your “trigger” – whether its Facebook, Reddit, and or Instagram – and remove it from your device(s. If your “trigger” is sitting alone in your room while working/studying, then move your items to the living room or dining room. Be prepared to delete all your accounts: PornHub, Xvideos, XHamster, throwaway Instagram and Reddit accounts, you know them all. Delete every single one. If youre committed to this cause and to healing your life, I urge you to delete them ASAP. Dealing with pornographic flashbacks: I suffered tremendously with this. The flashbacks lasted almost 2-3 weeks. It was the only thing on my mind. Honestly, I found that whenever confronted with these, start doing push-ups to failure. It may not completely clear your mind, but I found that it does help. Alternatively, I recommend walking outside whenever the thought of a flashback appears in your head or move to a different room in your house. Get a Calendar: A simple Google Search for January 2020 Calendar (or any of the coming months) will yield many results. Download one and start marking the days. Remember, make the days count, do not count the days! Set realistic goals: Its good to enter NoFap with a huge goal. But start by setting a realistic, achievable goal for yourself. I recommend starting with 14 Days. Once you reach it, youll feel unstoppable. As the days continue, adjust your goals as necessary. Remember that these goals shouldnt be isolated to only NoFap, they should extend to other aspects of your life like working out, starting a new hobby, etc. Get busy doing something you enjoy: For me, I found that reading is a new hobby of mine. Ive started reading a lot more. I recently just finished Cal Newports Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World. As soon as I finished that book, I picked up another one: How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie. Find what you love and stick to it. Try going to the gym this weekend, try swimming, jogging, or start painting. Fix your diet: I cannot stress how important this is. By fixing your diet, youll help yourself in the short and long term. Youll feel energized, happy, and motivated – this varies based on the individual. Stay Hydrated: Again, I cannot stress how important this is. If you want to have a clear mind and want to stay focused, drink water, lots of it. I went from drinking less than 500 ml (17 fl. oz) to drinking more than 1. 5 liters (51 fl. oz) of water a day. And let me tell you it really helps. Youll probably be going to the bathroom a lot more than usual, but youll get over it. Spend some time alone: This may seem to contradict one of my previous points, but in Cal Newports book, he emphasizes the importance of spending some time in solitude, free of input from any other mind. I recommend going out for a late-night walk, alone, for 30-45 minutes every weekend. Youll find that your mind becomes “stronger, ” and your willpower will increase 10-fold. Dealing with PIED and Flatline: I am personally still experiencing the effects of PEID, Ive only recently started experiencing “partial erections. ” This, I believe, is the effects of PEID slowly beginning to wear off. Regarding the flatline I cant think of any tips thatll be beneficial. The flatline is a normal process and you should be ready to experience it. It absolutely sucks but think of the end goal. What are you working towards? A better life. Just stay strong and keep persevering. NoFap Urges Graph: I created an excel spreadsheet designed to monitor my Urges throughout my NoFap Journey – linked below. In the X-Axis, you have Time in Days, and the Y-Axis you have Strength of the urges, where 10 is the strongest urge, and 0 is no urges at all. I've also linked a scatter plot with a line of best fit more clearly showing the decrease in urges. There was some misunderstanding regarding the Y-Axis in my last post, so Id like to make it clear. I classified “Urges” as – An urge to return to masturbating and watching pornography. Not a sexual urge like seeing an attractive lady and immediately wanting to be with her, that on the other hand, is normal. Ive also noticed a lot of health benefits, which are but are not limited to, significantly reduced urges and flashbacks, increased motivation; I can maintain eye contact with people for much more extended periods. Ive got a firmer handshake. The small things in life are more pleasurable: like playing sports with friends or going out for a walk. Making your bed every morning: This may seem like a small one, but it does help. Try making your bed every morning, and youll feel happier. When you come home from school or work, youll find a welcoming, comfortable bed waiting for you. Youre productive! Keeping the environment around you clean: My father once told me: “ The environment you work in reflects whats going on in your brain. If you have a clean room, youll have a clear mind. Vice versa. ” And to some extent he was right. For years Id barely keep my room tidy. I believe that lack of cleanliness lead to me relapsing repeatedly. Every time Id clean it, it would fall apart the next day. Everything was disorganized, I would never find anything whenever I needed it. Until recently, I cleaned my room, organized my clothes, and cleaned my desk. Life has been great. Im more focused and productive. Whenever I need something, I can find it with ease. Additionally, I still have social anxiety (from years of seclusion) and am terrible when it comes to talking to specifically opposite sex. But I believe that the book Im currently reading, How to Win Friends and Influence People, will help.
